Put those operable clerestory windows to energy-saving use the Window Wand ® Model RC-312 Clerestory Extension Crank. High-mounted windows are excellent for capturing light while providing privacy – but they can also be “excellent” heat traps. It is now possible to vent the heat that rises to these areas as easily as opening any other window in the home. The Window Wand ® Clerestory Crank is inexpensive and can easily retrofit to existing or new window installations. By simple removal of the existing crank handle and replacing it with an RC-A adapter, the RC-312 Crank will open and close any operable clerestory window. It is not necessary to replace the current operator. And remember that you will only need one Clerestory Crank to operate all windows at the same height. The Window Wand ® Clerestory Crank is available in many standard sizes for either sill or jamb mounted operators. Refer to the selection chart at right. Consult factory or local distributor for special application needs. The standard finish for the RC-312 Crank is natural anodized aluminum.
To use the Model RC-312, Simply remove the existing crank handle and replace with an RC-A Adapter. Refer to the selection chart for the appropriate adapter. The standard finish for the RC-A Adapter is burnished diecast zinc. Powder coated finishes are availabe at an additional cost. Note: One RC-A Adapter is required for each operable window.
